Aleem Bawany

About Myself

A little about msyelf, I was born August 8, 1979 in Karachi, Pakistan where I resided until I moved to Toronto in 1998. I attended the University of Toronto and graduated with a B.Sc., honors (specialist) degree in Software Engineering.

Upon graduation, I took up a job at a startup with a total of 4 employees and got laid off when the startup failed and went under. I remember feeling bad for my employers–they were nice people.

About two months later, I accepted a position at Microsoft Coporation in Seattle/Redmond, Washington where I worked in the MSN division working on interesting projects such as Business and Customer Intelligence, Customer Tracking and profiling etc. After a 3 and a half year tenure at Microsoft, I resigned and moved back to Pakistan in July, 2008 where I currently reside.

Someday I want to have a successful IT venture, write a book and maybe open up an IT school to impart education and knowledge.
